Chapter 36: Sharing the Road with Trucks
No-Zones
Large trucks have substantial blind spots directly behind them and along both sides — if you cannot see the truck driver's mirror, they very likely cannot see you either.
Stopping and Turning
Trucks need considerably more distance to stop than a car does, so never cut sharply in front of one and then brake. They also swing wide on turns, sometimes moving briefly into an adjacent lane to complete the turn — give them extra room at intersections rather than trying to squeeze past.
