Chapter 13: Guide Signs
Green Signs
Green guide signs handle navigation: route numbers, upcoming exits, mileage to the next town, and directional arrows at complex interchanges. They are purely informational — there is no legal action tied to a green sign, but relying on them well is what keeps you from missing an exit and making a risky last-second lane change.
Blue Signs
Blue signs point to services along your route — gas, food, lodging, hospitals, and rest areas. These are especially useful on long highway stretches where the next services might be many miles away, letting you plan a fuel or bathroom stop before you are in an emergency about it.
